Who are DOSA Campers?
DOSA Camps campers are people of varying disability and functionality and we encourage everyone to apply. Some of the typical camper disabilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Down Syndrome
- Autism
- Cerebral Palsy
- Spina Bifida
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Muscular Dystrophy
- Secondary Emotional Disorder
- Cornelia de Lange Syndrome
- Deaf/Hearing Impaired
- Blind/Visually Impaired
- Seizure Disorder
What is the age range for DOSA Campers?
During 2009, we served 344 campers between the ages of 6 and 45.
Where do DOSA Campers come from?
Currently, most of our campers live in the state of Florida. However, during the summer of 2009, we accommodated campers from:
- 3 different countries
- 8 different states
- 17 different counties in the State of Florida
We will happily welcome campers from across the globe.
How do I become a DOSA Camper?
- The camper application process begins March 15, 2010.
- Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- We will accept between 36 and 40 campers per session.
- Registration Fee is $250, although some scholarships are available.
